Portraits of People

Original fine art portraits make lasting images of your loved ones and your most cherished memories.  Expressive artistic renderings go beyond what the camera can capture, re-creating the “feel” of the memory and touching the personality and essence of the subject.  Commissioning a portrait is, in fact, a way that you can express yourself in your home or workplace — it is not merely the creation of the artist.  It begins with your vision …and is brought to completion at the hand of the artist. 

As an artist I do many types of work, but I have found that I gain some of my greatest artistic and personal satisfaction through portraiture. Capturing a person’s likeness and telling something of the person through my work is a very meaningful process to me. When a client commissions me to do a portrait, I know that I will be working with them to create a lasting, cherished treasure of a loved one and will be preserving their memories of moments in time. I normally work from photographs but also am available to work  from portrait sittings.
