You will never forget the face of your beloved pet.
In commissioning a pet portrait you have opportunity to keepsake those memories and give your beloved pet a rightful place among the rest of your family’s lasting images.
When considering a portrait of your pet(s) whether they are individual or in a group, the background element is important to consider. Think about images and references which set context, location and activities typical of your beloved furry friend. Some clients do, however, prefer a more formal portrait of faces only.
As an artist I do many types of work, but I have found that I gain some of my greatest artistic and personal satisfaction through portraiture. Capturing a pet’s likeness and telling something of their personality through my work is a very meaningful process to me. When a client commissions me to do a portrait, I know that I will be working with them to create a lasting, cherished treasure of a beloved pet and will be preserving their memories of moments in time. I normally work from photographs but also am available to work from portrait sittings.
